History
The HF stud farm was established in 1993 by Stanislav Hošák and Aleš Fiala after purchasing a three year old mare called Jíva who was recommended to them by Stanislav Hošák senior. Find us on Facebook: HF Stud Farm
Jíva was a daughter of an East German mare called Dielesa and a studhorse named Furioso Kunín. She was successful as a three year old at shows for young horses (KMK) with Stanislav Hošák jr and after achieving a jumping level S (130 cm), she was accepted as a breeding mare. Jíva was inseminated by a Hanoverian stallion called Gotward, a son of the legend Godhard. Jíva and Gotward had two offspring – a filly called Jiwana and a colt called Jiwan. Jiwan was later exchanged with Mr. Bolek Polivka, a well known Czech actor, for a mare named Ruleta. Ruleta was ridden by Stanislav Hošák jr and finally achieved jumping level T (150 cm).
Therefore, breeding of the HF stud farm is based on these two mares who both achieved great jumping results. In February 2008, the HF stud farm purchased a Hanoverian studhorse called Radegast http://www.hrebcinhf.cz/en/studhorses/radegast.html
What we do
We focus on breeding of high quality horses with jumping and dressage potential and our team is well qualified to help us to achieve this goal. We would also like to promotee our Czech horses to anyone from abroad who may be interested and is thinking of purchasing horses from the Czech Republic. Czech horses are not well known yet and there is a great potential of helping us to promote our breeding lines.
HF stud farm is represented by breeding stables in Velké Hoštice (managed by Aleš Fiala) and sport stables based in Životice near Nový Jičín (managed by Stanislav Hošák jr and Jana Lošáková). All foals born to our brood-mares are looked after in Velké Hoštice, colts weaned from their mothers are placed in testing raising stables and properly raised until the age of three. Our stud farm co-operates with a testing raising stables which belong to Horymas company, managed by Kincl’s family.
Our stud farm participates in breeding events held in the Czech Republic and it is no secret that due to our Hanoverian specialisation we try to present our breeding achievements abroad.
